Taroudant

Taroudant
A traditional Berber town in the Sous Valley of southern Morocco, Taroudant is a charming place to visit.
Taroudant flourished in the 16th century, and became a centre for trade and culture, with rice, spices and cotton goods highly sought after in its markets, and significant buildings such as the great mosque and city walls being built.
Today, Taroudant’s wonderful heritage is still to be seen: the original walls still considerably encompass the town, while the souks proudly display local handicrafts and richly embroidered carpets, and stay one of the most popular markets in the entire country.
